If you have been observing people doing yoga poses remotely, you would think they are Latter-day Suffering People. They may be wrong, they are wise people who have recognized in time how easy and relatively inexpensive they can keep their bodies healthy, literally fit like a violin.

Yoga exercises are the best way to keep the body flexible, supple, and firm without putting any force on the body. There is a certain subtlety in this old eastern system of body care that is in harmony with nature.

The modern lifestyle takes its toll on physical and mental health. High blood pressure and diabetes are common complaints and the beneficiaries are pharmaceutical companies. Resources that should be spent on other productive channels are wasted to support a tiring body that becomes an open invitation to premature aging and a variety of illnesses.

Yoga has many dimensions
The word yoga means union. It meant a whole series of physical, mental and spiritual exercises developed by ancient Indian yogis to recognize and be united with God ("yuj" in Sanskrit, meaning "to be yoke"). The yogis performed rigorous meditation routines in woods and mountains and were lightly clothed. They developed indoor exercises known today as "yoga poses" or "yoga pineapples" to keep their bodies healthy and light and to make them a willing instrument of meditation.

Over the years, yoga poses have become detached from other mental and spiritual exercises and have become popular as fitness yoga. People who practice yoga benefit from yoga such as concentrated mind, self-discipline, a balanced temperament, and a healthy view of life.

The big peace
There are a hundred yoga poses. They have interesting names like Indians, who called themselves Sitting Bull or Galloping Horse. The poses carry names like The Boat, Crow, Peacock, Lotus and so on. The latter is the pose in which the Buddha is seated. It is the pose that yogis have developed for their meditation. Retired legs and feet resting on thighs, hands on thighs turned upwards with thumb and forefinger upright, spine and neck upright, eyes slightly closed and the normally open-minded mind collected and centered - this is the ultimate posture of calmness within and without ,

But before we can achieve that inner peace, we must slowly master the body through various poses and regulation of the breath called pranayama. The purpose of respiratory regulation is to stimulate the body, and the gradual slowing of breathing is intended to reduce the frequency of thoughts, which is the necessary prelude to meditation.

The yogi among the bats
There is the well-known joke about bats in a cave. They all hung upside down as they were used to. But a bat stood on his feet. When the other bats asked him why, he replied, "I practice yoga!" This bat is the counterpart to the people who like to stand in the head, a difficult but very effective pose to stimulate the circulation of the entire body. Its modified and simpler version, the "All Limb Pose", is also recommended for all ages.

In a sense, yoga poses are meant for people who dare and want to be different and strive for what they are asked to do because of their inner nature and instinct of the body. It is about treating the body with respect and dignity, not pumping it with iron and straining the muscles and nervous system. In the latter case, these people suffer health damage if they stop these heavy exercises.

Tips for the beginner
Practicing yoga poses is easy. But a few words of caution would be necessary.

· Please do not learn from the books. You should not be your own guru (teacher) when it comes to yoga asanas, pranayama or meditation, and you could end up worse than before. Seek qualified, dedicated and professional teachers.
· If you have any illness or physical disability, ask your doctor and yoga instructor which poses are appropriate to your physical condition.
· Age is no obstacle to practicing yoga poses. You do not have to be a stripling to do it.
· Your yoga teacher will tell you what kind of yoga accessories and props you need. Your dress should be comfortable enough for you to stretch and bend freely.
· As with all other physical exercises, yoga exercises should be performed on a very light stomach and never after a meal.
· Establish a specific time for your home practice to develop regularity and discipline
· Such discipline is not associated with habits such as smoking and drinking that affect the physical system

The last test
The ultimate test for any exercise program is: Do you feel fresh and energized, or tired and exhausted? Yoga poses pass this test with flying colors.

By and large, practicing yoga regularly brings about the mood and mood of the body, disciplining the mind and training the will to orient oneself towards self-improving habits and lifestyles, and elevate the perspective to a higher and nobler level of existence ,
