70+ Sanskrit words you need to know for your yoga practice

Yoga is considered an amazing practice to gain spiritual enlightenment. But did you know that yoga is also a great physical exercise? Experts say that Hatha Yoga or the physical aspect of yoga consists of certain postures or alignment exercises that help a person achieve the physical fitness needed to attain spiritual enlightenment. Although yoga works on all body parts, it is particularly helpful in reducing body fat and fighting obesity. As we all know, obesity is one of the most common problems facing people today. Due to the sedentary lifestyle and the unhealthy diet, people become thicker and suffer from a severe form of physical illness called obesity.

1. Naukasana -

As the name implies, the Naukanana or boat pod helps you to reduce belly fat, tone the abdominal muscles, and strengthen the lower back.

Steps -

Lie down on your back. Keep your hands on the body. Take a few deep breaths. Slowly lift your body, chest, arms and legs off the floor and take a deep breath. Hold this position for a few seconds or as long as possible. Constantly feel the pull on the chest, abdominal and back muscles. Slowly return to normal position. Relax as you exhale the pose and return to its original position. Repeat the asana at least three times.

Second PawanMuktasana -

This pose is very useful for burning fat in the thighs, hips and abdomen.

Steps -

Lie down on your back. Now lift your legs slowly and put your hands around your knees. In this position, bring your legs closer to the body. Hold this position for a few seconds. Slowly release the pose and bring your head to the floor. When done, stretch your legs and relax.

Third Bhujansana -

This is also called Cobra Pose. This posture is especially helpful for tautening and stretching the arms, shoulders, buttocks, thighs, back and abdomen. Bhjangasana is an excellent asana for reducing belly fat. If you exercise regularly, this posture can help you achieve a flat stomach.

Steps -

Lie down on your stomach on the floor. Place your palms next to your shoulder on the floor. Inhale and at the same time lift your body to the navel. Hold this pose for a few seconds and slowly return to its original position. Repeat the pose three times.

4th Pashimottan Asana -

It is also considered an excellent pose to combat belly fat. This pose helps to reduce belly fat and to tighten the abdominal area, pelvic area, thighs, hips and shoulders.

Steps -

Sit on a flat surface, stretch your legs forward and stretch your legs. Inhale and take your arms over your head. Now exhale and bend your body forward and try to touch your knees with your forehead. Hold this posture for a few seconds and continue to breathe normally. Inhale and slowly return to normal position. Repeat the pose twice.

5th Veer Bhadrasana -

This is also called warrior attitude. This posture not only reduces body fat but also promotes body alignment and fat burning throughout the body.

Steps -

Stand with your legs outstretched. Now move your gaze to the right and bend your right leg 90 degrees. Now take a deep breath and raise both arms to shoulder level. Turn your head to the right and hold it for a few seconds or as long as possible. Breathe in and return to the original position. Repeat the pose at least twice.

If you do these exercises regularly, you can not only reduce the belly fat, but also the fat of the whole body.
