The Psoas: Muscle of The Soul

The Psoas muscle (pronounced so-as) is the deepest muscle of the human body affecting our structural balance, muscular integrity, flexibility, strength, range of motion, joint mobility, and organ functioning.

With the end of winter and the beginning of spring, you may find that improving physical fitness will radically change your overall well-being and comfort factor.

Now, if you feel that your workout plan was irregular due to heavy snowfall or long, cold winter mornings, it's the perfect time to shake yourself up and take a leap to consistent training.

Let's go through some steps that can help make your hot yoga practice much more useful, even if the overall experience is more positive.

1. FIND A FRIEND

Choosing to find a friend for your hot yoga classes will simply make your practice more consistent. You could then work to share postures, and maybe even make sure you share your ideas about the practice while learning together.

2. PRESS NEXT

To make sure you make the most of your hot yoga training, it would be a good idea to set yourself goals. In this way, you find that you are able to move forward and get the most out of what your hot yoga training sessions have to offer.

3. CHOOSE TO BE A HOT YOGA INFLUENCE

When you find that your hot yoga coaching and hot yoga sessions are actually beneficial, or you end up receiving more than you originally expected, you become a hot yoga influencer!

So you can share your positive experiences in discussions with your family or even at your workplace. Or you share your positive experiences in social media or forums.

This would even help keep you committed to your practice, or motivate you to work on techniques that need to be improved.

4. FIND A GOOD STUDIO

Choosing the right gym for your hot yoga training is essential to ensure that you are building solid foundations and deepening your yoga practice.

Yoga Alliance is basically a US-based nonprofit association for yoga teachers. RYT stands for Registered Yoga Teacher and is a certification of the Yoga Alliance.

If a yoga school meets certain standards, including its instructors, it will receive a Registered Yoga School (RYS) certificate.

That's why you should opt for a RYS 200 or RYS 500 yoga studio. It is also preferred that your yoga school is OHYA (Original Hot Yoga Studios) certified.

5. Decide whether you would like to opt for a TTC (TEACHER TRAINING COURSE)

Attend a teacher's course in a well-known studio in your city or outside.

TTC allows you to take your yoga training and poses to the next level while giving you the ability to teach or teach in a structured way.
